Neighborhood: Whitehall

Hometown: Ashtabula

Years behind the bar: 7

How did you get into bartending?

It was a fluke. I used to come in here all the time and they needed somebody to work. I had no idea what I was doing, but I said I'd give it a try.

I also worked at Skully's for three years. That was definitely where I got my experience, it gets crazy busy there.

What do you like about bartending?

I don't think I could ever do another nine-to-five job again. I like these hours and I like the freedom of bartending. You're your own boss all the time.

What goes on here at Stooges?

We have euchre tournaments on Thursdays and Sundays that are really popular. And our karaoke crowd is a wild bunch. It's one of the best nights to work because the karaoke in this bar is great.

We have some really great singers, and the ones who aren't the best singers just have fun and it's entertaining for everyone to watch. It's about having a good time - who cares if you can sing? Sometimes it hurts your ears, but for the most part it's OK.

Do you sing karaoke?

No. I never sing. I'm one of those people who hurts your ears. I did it once and that was enough ... for me and everybody else.

Where do you go to get a drink?

Pretty much here - I have a barstool with my name on it. When I'm not here, I also like Shooter's and I still go to Skully's every once in a while.

What do you drink?

I am very easy. I'm a Bud Light and grape bomb girl.

What are people drinking here?

This is one of those good old beer-and-a-shot kind of places.

One day a girl came in and wanted a strawberry daiquiri and I told her we don't have a blender. She said, "Now I don't know what I want to drink." So I just gave her a beer and a shot of Jack.

We just got Natural Light, too. They're selling like hot cakes because they're only $1 during happy hour and $1.75 regularly. You can't find a beer for a dollar anywhere, and it's in a bottle.
