Sometimes, first impressions are everything. Such is the case with these stylish and attractive beauty treats. We can't tell you how well they fulfill their claims, but heck, they sure do look good trying.
Lola Marc Jacobs perfume
Department stores and beauty counters, $65
Here's a perfume vial worth keeping visible on your dresser. The plastic bloom on the cap tops off the purple bottle perfectly. The scent is similarly great in a floral-meets-modern way: peony, geranium and rose combine with spicy and fruity flavors for an energizing spritz.
Too Faced Tanning Bed in a Tube
$21.50 at Sephora, toofaced.com
Skip the generic, words-only designs that plague most self-tanner tubes and go for this glamorous, tropically influenced option. You'll feel like a bronzed beauty just holding it - and with a hint of shimmery shine, the gradually building self-tanner formula will help make that dream come true.
Urban Decay Vegan Palette
$34 at Sephora, Macy's Easton, urbandecay.com
Urban Decay's packaging is always artsy, but this product comes with a message. The Vegan Palette is wrapped in sketches of various creatures and the words, "We don't do testing on animals how could anyone?" Inside, an assortment of colorful vegan eye shadow disks are accompanied by a mini eye shadow primer and eyeliner.
Philosophy Field of Flowers Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath
$16 at Sephora, Macy's Easton, philosophy.com
While most Philosophy products come in clear containers that show off their bright colors, the contents of these are concealed by an array of wind-blown flowers. It's a nice change. The multipurpose, floral-smelling shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath bottles are decorated in hand-drawn art.
Dior Addict High-Shine Lipstick
$26 at Sephora, dior.com
It's only logical that this mirror-like holder conceals a high-shine lipstick. We love the perfectly polished metallic case, which will look sleek every time you pull it out. The lipstick comes in lots of creamy pink shades and was originally designed to be worn on the runway, with long-wearing pigments and lots of shine.
