Taste of Bexley

The inaugural Taste of Bexley brought dozens of restaurants and hundreds of people to Franklin Park Conservatory on Monday to sample some of the best cuisine in the historic East Columbus neighborhood.

In addition to the myriad of food choices, the event offered a selection of wine and beer, and a demonstration by world pizza champion Michael Shepherd. The competition was on between eateries to win the title of best dish in two categories: Attendees voted for their favorite restaurant in the People's Choice, and a panel of celebrity judges — including Ellen Tressel, Angela Pace, Jeff Hogan and Tami Cecil — selected the Judge's Choice award.

The Top Steak House fared very well, taking highest honors in both categories for their sirloin and shrimp with au gratin potatoes. Judging by the number of foodies there, we would say the first year for Taste of Bexley was a huge success.
