Green Drinks Columbus

Zero-impact living hit the big screen last week when Green Drinks Columbus visited Studio 35 in Clintonville.

The event featured a screening of the documentary No Impact Man, which follows a Manhattan family as they undertake a yearlong experiment to have zero impact on the environment.

The project was initially planned as just a blog (solar-powered, of course), but quickly became something more. For a year, Colin Beavan and his family filmed their efforts to produce no trash (using an indoor compost bin), only eat food grown from within a 250-mile radius, use no paper products (even toilet paper!) and cut out all electricity. Amazingly, they fared very well.
