Larry Abel of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 10 presented Cambridge Junior High School teachers Joyce Day and Violet Cummings a plaque for having winning teams during recent intramural basketball games at the school. This is the third year for the event.

Firefighters from Caldwell, Belle Valley and Summerfield volunteer fire departments received invaluable training by participating in a live fire exercise sponsored by the Caldwell VFD on Sunday. Approximately 40 firefighters "felt the heat" as crews of new and experienced men alike geared up to battle a controlled blaze in an abandoned house on the outskirts of Caldwell.
