Tonight's big show is one of those highly affordable CD101 affairs, this time starring drug-fueled, Southern-fried, disco-ready rockers Eagles of Death Metal. Just $5 gets you into the Newport Music Hall, 1722 N. High St., which sounds just right for a band with some legit national pedigree and some cool but disposable party tracks. Joining EoDM will be our own local rock heroes Two Cow Garage — check my cover story on them from a few weeks back — and Mick Divvens' Psychic Revolution. And I should mention that I inaccurately reported in last week's paper that Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, who plays drums with EoDM, would be in the building. Despite his presence in that sassy promo photo to the upper right, Homme WILL NOT be there. Somehow, I think the band will still kill.
