Bayleaf India Bistro
Chicken 65 (as delicious & potent as it is luridly red) and Paneer Shaslik "Raiwalla" (fried, stiff wedges of homemade cheese popping w/ mustard seed, cumin, garlic & more; served w/ a cooling, fruity chutney)
Hakka Manchurian (fried cauliflower & veggie patties in a hybrid Indian/Chinese soy sauce)
I love these explosive, uncliche, unclassic Indian dishes that don't taste like the same old same old. As bonuses, they're only about $7.00 apiece (these 3 will feed 2) & Bayleaf is BYOB (you'll need cold, light bodied beer) -- meaning this is a cheap and very interesting night out!
