This weekend features a glut of great local music options, especially tonight. But tomorrow's destination is clear. Times New Viking has become the biggest name in local indie rock, and for good reason. The band's seemingly effortless muse, which has led it to the noisiest corners of punk and pop, won it a spot on mega-indie label Matador. No one should miss when TNV gets together with eight of its favorite bands to celebrate the release of the new album Present the Paisley Reich, its last release for Philadelphia's Siltbreeze Records.
Doors open for Paisley Reich Fest at 7 p.m. at Cafe Bourbon Street (2216 Summit St.). Acts joining TNV include Psychedelic Horsesh--, Envelope, Hugs & Kisses, Sword Heaven, Cheater Slicks, Clockcleaner, Mike Rep & the Quotas and Ron House. Admission is $9. Warning: It's going to be pretty tightly packed in there.
