OK, I usually use this space to plug whatever cool concerts are happening each night, but none of that stuff measures up to tonight's top TV event. Anyone who reads this blog with any regularity knows how obsessed I am with Lost. So I am desperately eager to see what goes down as season 5 concludes with "The Incident." On the other hand, waiting eight months for the final season is going to be harder than ever. A season recap airs at 8 p.m., followed by the two-hour finale at 9 on ABC. To prepare, read Doc Jensen's last column of the season and AV Club's interview with Jorge Garcia.
There is a rather big concert tonight too. Superstar teenybopper punks Fall Out Boy will be in full effect at LC Pavilion, 405 Neil Ave. As I alluded to yesterday, I've been enjoying their latest record, Folie a Deux. Like, a lot. Like, in ways I never expected to enjoy a Fall Out Boy record. They're stockpiling a powerful arsenal in this arms race of a scene they run in. Pop radio could do a lot worse. Opening for the Boy will be Metro Station, Cobra Starship, All Time Low and Hey Monday. Doors at 5:30 to allow all those acts a chance to play. Tickets cost $39. (Oh, and here's my short history of Pete Wentz from last week's paper.)
