A rare film recommendation for you on this rainy September Wednesday: The Wexner Center is screening Died Young, Stayed Pretty, "an entertaining, rabble-rousing documentary that provides an in-depth survey of the graphic designers and artists responsible for the renaissance of indie-rock concert posters." Local poster artists extraordinaire Clint Reno, Mike Martin, Will Ruoco and Mike and Drue from FarmBarn will be present to display their oeuvres. The 95-minute film will screen at 7 p.m. The trailer's right up there for your perusal.
That sounds mighty fun, but I've got plans to be at Crew Stadium for a CONCACAF Champions League contest against Mexican power Cruz Azul. You may remember Cruz Azul as the squad that laid an embarrassing 5-0 loss on Columbus last month down in Mexico. This time the Crew will be out for revenge. Brave the rain and make it to the Nordecke in time for the 8 p.m. kickoff.
Also tonight: Kings of Leon at the Schott and Jonny Lang at LC Pavilion.
