Harlem is one of the bands I most regret missing at SXSW, mainly because the buzzing, drugged-out pop-punk on their Matador debut "Hippies" makes for such a strong listen. Tonight is my chance and yours to catch them in Columbus at The Summit, 2210 Summit St., with an opening set from the wonderful Andrew Graham and Swarming Branch. (Perhaps you recall their well-deserved Bands to Watch status?) 9 p.m. start, $6 advance, $8 at the door.
Then there's this event, which brings the dancy duo of San Francisco's Sugar and Gold and Cincinnati's The Seedy Seeds to The Treehouse, 887 Chambers Rd. Ghost Shirt opens. 9 p.m. start, $8 cover.
