"The Wretched" precedes new album "This Means War"; tour kicks of January 26 at the Newport

Believe it or not, it's been more than two years since local metalcore sensations Attack Attack! crab danced into hearts and minds worldwide. After the departure of singer-guitarist Johnny Franck, they're back with third album "This Means War," out next week, and a tour that kicks of January 26 at Newport Music Hall. I've never been a huge fan, so I'm surprised how much I enjoyed lead single "The Wretched," which presents a lean and mean version of the band at the expense of the more cartoonish aspects that won them such a wide audience in the first place. I guess this is them growing up. It's still not really in my stylistic wheelhouse, but it's got me curious to hear the rest of the album. As for the video, which you can see above: Thanks, My Chemical Romance?
