Singer-songwriter died of organ failure due to alcohol consumption

A post on Chunklet this morning says native Ohioan Jason Molina, of Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co., died Saturday of organ failure from alcohol consumption.

"On Saturday night, March 16, 2013, Jason Molina, the songwriting force behind Songs:Ohia and Magnolia Electric Company died from a body that had been drowned in alcohol for years on end. He was far too young to die and his friends and fans have experienced a massive loss."

I first encountered Molina's music, like I imagine a lot of people did, during a particularly rough and somewhat dark period of my life, and his music was an immense comfort to me. Now I take comfort, like I'm sure countless others, that Jason is finally at peace.
