Annual hard rock fest Rock on the Range, which returns to Crew Stadium May 16-18, recently announced its full lineup.

Guns N' Roses are set to headline Rock on the Range at Crew Stadium in May

Rock on the Range is set to return to Crew Stadium May 16-18, and this morning organizers announced the full lineup for the annual hard rock festival.

Highlights of this year's fest include two bands Alive's own Brad Keefe included on a May 2013 list of 10 bands that should play Rock on the Range: Guns N' Roses and Slayer (or, more appropriately, f-----g SLAYER!). Other standouts include ambitious Atlanta metalheads Mastodon, the always-excellent Gojira (read our 2013 interview with the French crew right here) and Motorhead, fronted as always by the ageless Lemmy Kilmister.

A few quick thoughts on the poster announcing the lineup: (1) In what world do Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock and Five Finger Death Punch deserve billing over Slayer (even with a lineup missing Dave Lombardo and the late Jeff Hanneman)? (2) Jim Breuer has a band?

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24, and start at $99.50 (plus applicable fees) for a general admission weekend pass.
