Columbus Brewing Company announces expansion

Columbus can't get enough beer.

Luckily for us, local mainstay Columbus Brewing Co. announced last week via its Facebook page it will double production and relocate to the former Hill Distributing building on Columbus' West Side in 2015. What does this mean? More Bohdi IPA, CBC Pale Ale and CBC IPA for everyone!

Columbus Brewing Company currently operates in a 6000 sq. ft. space and produces 12,000 barrels of beer annually. After the expansion, CBC will operate in a 50,000 sq. ft. space and produce 25,000 barrels of beer annually.

In a late July interview regarding the maturation of Columbus as a craft beer mecca, brewmaster Eric Bean told Columbus Alive about the difficulty craft brewers have keeping up with demand for products saying "We can't supply Columbus with enough beer." Hopefully, the expansion of CBC can help fill the gap.

In addition to pumping out its currents brews, in the new space CBC will be experimenting with new beers, offer tasting rooms and brewery tours. So Drink up guys, there is going to be plenty more Bohdi IPA to go around.
