New concerts announced include Maroon 5, Haunted Fest, Johnny Marr and more

Maroon 5 and its love-him-or-hate-him frontman Adam Levine are set to visit Nationwide Arena on March 11. Tickets are $29.50, $49.50, $79.50 and $125, and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at The Los Angeles rock band will be performing here in support of its fifth album, V, which finds the musicians chasing current trends like a high school outsider desperate to fit in. Still, the crew knows how to deliver a radio hook, which accounts, at least in part, for its surprising staying power.

Halloween 'tis the season for things that go bump in the night. Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr headlines a round of Newport Music Hall announcements. Marr, who released his solo record The Messenger early in 2013, hits town for a concert on Nov. 22. Tickets are $15. Also making a trip to the venue is NYC singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson, who performs on Nov. 15. Tickets for that one are $20 in advance/$22 at the door.
