Local Cantina is adding a third location at 3126 N. High St. in Clintonville, and while the restaurant had hoped to open Friday, Oct. 31, GM Brad Calvin said it's been pushed back till Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The new casual Mexican cantina joins eateries in Grandview and Gahanna, with the Clintonville location replicating their atmosphere and menu. The new cantina's digs on High Street are a newly constructed building at the corner of High and California.

The menu focuses on tacos filled with everything from fish, chicken, veggies, eggs and chorizo; other meals include a chips and salsa bar, nachos, quesadillas, salads and can-tizzas (aka pizzas). Like Grandview and Gahanna, the Clintonville cantina will serve brunch on weekends with huevos rancheros, Mexican toast and breakfast versions of burritos and quesadillas.

True to the cantina style, booze is a big feature, too. A solid selection of local and national brews is featured on tap, with a heavy focus on canned beers as well. Jackie O's, Oskar Blues, Four String, Bell's and Vandermill Cider are all represented.

Alongside the beer, Local Cantina concocts margaritas like the signature Mustache Ride (Cazadores tequila, lime, Grand Marnier, agave) and craft cocktails like mojitos, dark n' stormies and verde Bloody Marys made with a tomatillo mix.
