Cameron Mitchell's newest restaurant, The Guild House, opens Thursday, Jan. 15. Billed as an "artisanal eatery featuring creative American cuisine," the new concept is located at 624 N. High St. in the Joseph building in Short North. The restaurant's opening comes within a week of the opening of Le Meridien Columbus, the boutique hotel in the building.

The Guild House takes its name from the traditional term for a group of artisans. It's led by executive chef John Paul Iacobucci and general manager Amberlyn Heiney. Both come from within the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants family; Iacobucci was most recently executive chef at Martini, while Heiney managed The Pearl.

When it's fully open, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It seats about 140 guests, and includes a bar and private dining room. The space is largely open and decorated with reclaimed wood.

The lunch and dinner menu run the gamut from steaks, seafood and burgers to pastas and sandwiches. Breakfast and brunch include items like smoked chicken hash, steak and eggs and upside down French toast.
