The fifth annual Columbus Winter Beerfest runs Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The event runs 7:30-11 p.m. each night.

The beer list is clocking in around 350 brews from about 90 breweries from around the country. National breweries represented include Ommegang, Dogfish Head, Founders, Southern Tier and Sierra Nevada.

Columbus breweries are getting their share of exposure, too, with Actual, Barley's, Zauber, Wolf's Ridge, Zaftig, Seventh Son and Land-Grant in the line-up, among others.

Tickets are still available through columbusbeerfest.com. They can be purchased ahead of time for $40 (regular admission), $50 (early admission) and $85 (connoisseur packages). The connoisseur package includes access to a special reception area with food tastings from area restaurants and samples of rare beers.

Tickets will be available for cash only at the door, too, but for $10 more at each ticket level. Admission includes a souvenir mug and 25 sample tickets. Designated driver tickets are also available in advance; the DD tickets include vouchers for food and non-alcoholic drinks.
