It was as fake as the onscreen chemistry.

If the fact that the recent film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" has made nearly $150 million at the box office already wasn't enough to make you lose faith in humanity, now there's this: computer-generated pubic hair.

While the director of the "Fifty Shades" film trilogy (#shudder) has promised us that Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele will undergo and exciting oncreen journey via her pubic grooming habits, a recent New York Times piece on shooting sex scenes include the fun fact that Johnson's briefly seen hints of hair "down there" were added via CGI.

The post-production pubes were actually a result of the fact that Johnson "had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area" while shooting sex scenes with co-star Jamie Dornan. Although it is nice to point out that one of the only positive things about that movie from a feminist perspective - that being a rare onscreen depiction of a woman actually having pubic hair - was as fake as the chemistry between the two stars.
