Game days at Crew Stadium (er, Mapfre Stadium; still getting used to that) got a whole lot tastier today. According to Dispatch Crew SC beat writer Adam Jardy, the team upgraded its game-day offerings like whoa.

Now available at every home match, starting with Saturday's home opener against Toronto FC: Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Hot Chicken Takeover, Schmidt's, Columbus Brewing Co., Elevator Brewing and more. Food trucks and carts will be available on the reg, in addition to a dedicated beer stand with local craft brews. The team gift shop has also been renovated.

Jardy quotes team brass as saying the moves are part of efforts to make the team and stadium more "authentically Columbus."

"For us, this is only fitting that Mapfre stadium now gets to offer our supporters food and beverage and merchandise options that are already here in Columbus," Crew president of business operations AndyLoughnane said in the Dispatch story. "For us, this is a new era of our badge and a new era for our food and beverage and merchandise experience."

The upgrades come as a result of a new multi-year food and services contract. Levy Restaurants will oversee Mapfre Stadium's dining, merchandising and hospitality options. The company also operates all Ohio State sports venues as well as MLS venues BBVA Compass Stadium (Houston) and the Stubhub Center (Los Angeles).
