Insalata Rustica--fresh and a lotta flavor and texture

Insalata Della Casa--"Parmesan Ranch"-y rich, but a real crowd pleaser

Grilled Salmon (cooked perfectly) with pesto breadcrumbs and lemon butter sauce (an excellent, if rich, treatment) matched with extra crunchy spuds and green beans actually worth eating

Spaghetti and Meatballs--pretty terrific with its gigantic, tender meatballs, al dente pasta and feisty tomato sauce

A couple days ago, I tried out the grub from the new Bravo in the Lennox Center--it was very impressiv. Sure it's a chain, blah blah, blah and the stuff took a good while to come out, but it was free--because Bravo knows the proper way to conduct a soft opening (granted, it can afford to give away free food, too). The learning service likewise was thoroughly delicious and super-generous-- not pictured is a giggle-inducing block of bread pudding and a huge Shrimp Napoli appetizer, a sort of calamari-style frying treatment augmented with a zesty and memorable tomato sauce (I polished those off too quickly to remember to photograph them).

You gotta hand it to the Doody clan (I saw Sue working one of the place's open, airy, ochre-toned and Tuscan-esque rooms)--they do not screw up. I'll definitely be back, probably next for Bravo's $3 HH bar bites (3-7, and starting again for late eaters at 9)--see you there.
