As you've probably noticed, things are new and improved here at ColumbusAlive.com: new homepage, better navigation and, of course, a killer blog system.

We're all jazzed about the changes - many thanks to our web designer, Nate - and I'm especially excited about this fashionable and user-friendly new blog page.

First, a few things:

1. Unfortunately, it was impossible to integrate our old posts into the new interface. The other bloggers and I had to copy and paste everything by hand - and most of the hot links and pictures didn't come along. If you hit up an old entry, forgive us if some of the content doesn't work right or some errant coding is included.

2. Also, if you're a loyal reader and had posted comments in the past, those were lost too. Sorry about that.

3. Here's the good news: Posting comments now is much easier. Just fill in the info below and type away. Keep it clean.

4. The new system categorizes everything for easy acces to info. "Tags" are listed at the bottom of each entry; click on one to find other entries about a specific topic such as a local band. Also, "Categories" can be found at the side; pick one and you'll find more info about a general subject, such as music or film.

5. An embedded search engine - a help to user and blogger both - allows you to search the body text of the blog site to easily locate an entry from the past.

The new system, developed by some wonderful tech people, will be one of the key tools that allow us to give you the most exciting, relevant and current content possible. Like, for example, this picture of Evangeline Lilly...

Enjoy!
