Ultimately, my trip to Los Angeles to cover the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was a success. Things promised to me were delivered, and the content I published received good reviews. As a writer far from home, that's about all you can ask for.

Not everything was rosy, though. A good story always has its obstacles; if you're not pushing yourself to the limit, you shouldn't be away from your desk. Instead of writing about mishaps, frustrations and everything else I faced from November 13-16 in Hollywood, I'll just tell you what I was listening to -- or at least playing in my head:

Trouble at Budget Rent-A-Car, departure without car Bad Religion "Los Angeles Is Burning" [Listen]

$70 Cab ride X "Los Angeles" [Listen]
