Thanks to a sighing, autumnal sound that touches on My Morning Jacket, The Shins and CSNY, Seattle's Fleet Foxes have been one of the year's breakout indie bands. Their self-titled Sub Pop debut feels like a gospel-rock hymnal come to life, each page adorned with dream-sequence reverb, classy neo-folk arrangements and the band's calling card: delectably rich four-part harmonies. It's hard to believe the sonic splendor of their record could be bested, but word is their live show is at least as impressive.
