In a world where Das Racist's deconstructionist rap is one of the brightest lights in the indie music skyline, Ocean Ghosts' disorienting blend of classic rock samples, jock jams and absurd socio-political commentary finally makes sense. Turns out Scotty Boombox and Thrusty Rhodes were ahead of their time.

That's not to say "Die on Top," which they'll release Saturday at Rumba Cafe, is a masterpiece. Ocean Ghosts are still better at concept and atmosphere than actual songwriting. But the duo's fourth LP is a head trip worth taking.

Bum Wealthy, Wicked Lung and the Wookalar, Elephant Bones and DJ George Brazil round out Saturday's bill.
