The Backstage at the Lincoln concert series gives audiences the opportunity to get closer to their favorite local artists ó literally.
Audience members get to sit on the stage of the Lincoln Theatre for this series of intimate concerts by performers Carl Sally and Friends, Canta Brasil and the Talisha Holmes Ensemble (pictured).
As if sharing the stage with the artists wasnít enough, these concerts also provide a way for locals to experience one of the cityís most historical landmarks; the theatre opened, under a different name, in 1928 as a response to another downtown theater that didnít admit African-American patrons.
Sitting on the stage of the Lincoln, you can experience the view of performers past like Etta James, Miles Davis and James Brown.
