Print, installation and performance artist Gabe Michael Kenny is a recent MFA graduate of Penn State University, and the latest to participate in Second Sight Studio’s live/work residency program. Kenney is an introspective thinker — part creative, part scientist — who uses art to examine “ideas which present themselves as speculative, difficult to conceive and problematic overall.”

Through personal and societal research, Kenney uses his investigations to create art that addresses ideas of consciousness — on both a micro and macro level — and how that awareness can change the world.

His mixed-media installations include mathematic and scientific images, documents, sketches and more presented in elaborate collages — think the investigation walls you see on any detective TV show, only more appealing and creative. The walls of Second Sight will be rife for gazing, with many aspects of the show delving into the human condition.
