While Northstar Café is completing its fourth location in Westerville, and has yet to announce plans for the old Betty's space in the Short North, they've submitted plans for a new location in Upper Arlington. If approved, the restaurant space will be located at 1515 W. Lane Ave., across from the Shops on Lane. Northstar also plans to move its corporate headquarters to the site.

Growl! in Clintonville is hosting Sip & Shop from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. The shopping event will feature happy hour specials on drafts and growlers and complimentary food from Lavash Café. Guests can meet the artisans behind businesses such as Honest Carry Goods, Spotted Cow Paper and Stately Beard Company.

Dan the Baker is re-opening his Grandview retail space as the Toast Bar this Friday, Nov. 7. The Toast Bar will serve breakfast and lunch, and feature five daily toast specials (all made with Dan’s bread, of course), alongside sandwiches, coffee and pastries.

The Red Robin Burger Works across from Ohio State has closed, and will be replaced by Blaze Pizza, a fast casual concept focused on quick-fired 12-inch pizzas.

The Elevator Brewery is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a party on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 12-8 p.m. Hosted at its 13th Floor Taproom at 165 N. Fourth St., the party will include live music, food trucks and the official release of HORUS, a limited edition bourbon barrel-aged imperial red ale. HORUS clocks in at 12% ABV, right along Ohio’s legal limit, and will be sold at special 750ml bottles at the taproom only.

Souper Heroes returns with Beer Soup at Seventh Son on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 6-8 p.m. Anyone can volunteer through Souper Heroes’ website (souperheroes.org) to make soup for the event. Volunteers then share their soup, which guests can sample along with fresh Matija Breads, beer from Seventh Son and drink specials from Watershed Distillery. Donations are collected for different charitable organizations; Neighborhood Services, Inc. is the featured charity for Beer Soup.

The team behind Harvest Pizzeria and The Sycamore announced they will open a new restaurant concept in the building being constructed at 250 S. High St. The concept is still to be solidified, but the group has said it won’t be similar to The Sycamore, nor will it be a third location for Harvest (which is open in German Village and Clintonville).

Rife’s Market in Grandview is now closed. The 78-year-old market held its last open hours on Oct. 31.
