Just this week Restoration Brew Worx announced its eventual arrival in downtown Delaware.

The brewery and restaurant will be located at 25 N. Sandusky St., a 2,800-square-foot space that formerly housed Beehive Books. The brewery is a collaboration between Frank and Roma Barickman, Rick and Karen Martine, and Carl Langsenkamp.

Barickman is an accomplished homebrewer, a certified beer judge and frequent collaborator with Columbus Brewing Company. Build-out has begun on the space, including the installation of a 10-barrel brewing system. The space will seat 70, with plans to serve a menu paired with house-made beers and sodas (Barickman's 9-year-old daughter makes a killer root beer, we're told). The brewery plans to offer five year-round beers plus two to four seasonal offerings, with beer available by the pint or in growlers to go. The Restoration crew is estimating a late winter/early spring opening in 2015.
