Washington D.C. power-pop trio Jukebox the Ghost littered its self-titled 2014 full-length with seemingly despondent songs like “Show Me Where It Hurts” and “Sound of a Broken Heart.”

But while these titles suggest some deep reservoir of sadness, the music itself flutters like a heart in the midst of a new Valentine’s Day romance, skipping along on bouncing piano and the always-chipper pop vocals of frontman Ben Thornewill.

Little Daylight and Secret Someones open the show.
