To celebrate the landmark 75th birthday of Aminah Robinson, one of Columbus' most iconic and respected artists, the Hammond Harkins Gallery in Bexley has an exhibition highlighting the artist's prolific career. Works new and old - including some of Robinson's earliest, as a 10-year-old - will be displayed as a mini-retrospective, along with a selection of her magnificent "roll books."

Robinson has been the artistic voice of a community, with much of her art focused on the East Side neighborhood — where she grew up and has lived her whole life — and its residents. In recognition of her impressive career and dedication to community, Robinson was chosen as a MacArthur Foundation Fellow in 2004.
