MINT Art Gallery - a collaborative, interdisciplinary space that was founded and operated by artists - works to support underrepresented and developing artists and cultivate relationships within the community. MINT's current exhibition, "My Body Your Surface," is an interactive installation of collaborative works by Clare Gatto and Maritt Vaessin that explores ideas of gender, boundaries, possession and occupation. Gatto is a local performance artist and photographer, and Vaessin is an interdisciplinary sculptor who specializes in bio art and guerilla public art. A closing reception will take place at 8 p.m., Friday Aug. 7.
