The semiannual, daylong festival offers a little something for everyone, with live bands, DJs, spoken-word poets, beatboxers, MCs and more providing a running soundtrack for the various artists and retailers displaying their wares. Among the highlights are performances from sprawling garage-psych collective Gelatinus Cube (6 p.m.), balled-fist, high-octane rockers Friendly Faux (11 p.m.), silky hip-hopper Jae Esquire (5:10 p.m.) and Happy Tooth and Dug, which pairs spoken-word rhymes with an eclectic musical backdrop that incorporates everything from backwoods banjos to string arrangements better suited to ornate symphony halls. Tickets are only $5, with a portion of the proceeds going to Out of the Closet, which helps support the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
