Nearly 80 years after Reefer Madness, an anti-drug propaganda-turned cult classic film, was released, marijuana continues to spark debate and make headlines. Cyclodrama's "Reefer Madness The Musical," is a musical comedy by Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney, directed by Tony Love, that takes its inspiration from by that 1936 film. The musical, performed at Axis Nightclub, offers a tongue-in-cheek look at the madness that occurs when "good" kids experiment with pot and rapidly find themselves in a downward spiral. A portion of all ticket sales goes toward a local drug rehabilitation organization.
