It's a bittersweet time for fans of local standup in Columbus, as three of the city's most talented and hilarious comics - Michael Meyers, Laura Sanders and Kamari Stevens - depart for new adventures. It's sad to see them go, but we all wish them the best.

Thankfully, all three will hold farewell showcases in the next couple weeks to thank Columbus for its support — and leave us laughing (maybe with a teardrop or two, as well). Sanders and Meyers will each record an album for their final show, “I’ll Leave You With This,” at the Garden Theatre (where Stevens and Brooke Cartus will open) on Sept. 1. A few days later (Sept. 10) Sanders and Stevens take the stage at Studio 35 for one final goodbye in “Fantastic 4 Comedy Show” where they’ll be joined by fellow locals Travis Hoewischer and Mark J. Lucas. Be there comedy fans — you’ll regret it if you don’t.
