The time away should help the material off the band's most recent full-length Chemistry of Consciousness feel fresh, despite the fact the album surfaced back in 2013. To be fair, though, freshness is relative on grimy, plundering tracks like "Out of the Fire," which could double as an alternate soundtrack to "Straw Dogs'" climactic home invasion.
