Blind Lady Tavern opened Monday, Aug. 31, at 22 E. Mound St., the former site of Jury Room and the short-lived 1831 Tavern (which closed in July). In the middle of September, Lyric Donuts will begin selling out of Impero Coffee in Short North. The donut pop-up has previously sold out of the Ace of Cups kitchen.

Cravings Carryout Cafe announced they are moving from their location at 227 E. Third Ave. in Italian Village and are searching for new location. They will be open in their current space through the middle of September.

Alana's Food & Wine has shifted to a more casual approach, opting for more small plates and ditching reservations (except for a nightly tasting menu). Owner Alana Shock said she also plans to move the restaurant from its North Campus location to new digs next spring.

Following last week's release of Salty Caramel ice cream, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams re-opened their production kitchens this week. Smith's Dairy in Orrville, which has been helping the company produce their ice creams after this summer's shut-downs, will still play a part in making the ice cream, with the production kitchen focused on more detailed ingredient prep.

Ohio State's newest dining hall, Traditions at Scott, opened last week in Scott Hall on north campus at 160 W. Woodruff Ave. The two-level, 28,000-square foot facility is open to the public and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with multiple international cuisines represented.

Sonoma Grille in the Arena District has closed. The restaurant had opened this spring.

Williamsburg, Ohio-based Old Firehouse Brewery began distributing five of their beers to Columbus via Cavalier Distributing on Sept. 1.

Columbus Brewing Company picked up more national attention for their beers. Paste magazine blind-tasted 115 American IPAs and double IPAs, and picked CBC's Bodhi as number two, while their Creeper double IPA landed the number 23 spot.

Actual Brewing released their Photon Light Lager in 12-ounce cans on Sept. 1.

Ill Mannered Brewing in Powell holds their grand opening on Friday, Sept. 4. The nanobrewery includes a small taproom and brewing space at 30 Grace Dr., next to Mojo Tago.

The new Whole Foods Market at Easton opened on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Sbarro has announced they are opening a stand-alone location at 3645 N. High St. in Clintonville, the former site of Peet's Coffee & Tea.
