Red Velvet Cafe downtown has also started serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Filipino-style brunch features items like adobo glazed wings on ube (a purple yam) waffles and silog, a classic fried rice dish with different toppings.

North Market's Ohio Craft Brew Festival is this weekend, Sept. 11-12. About 16 Ohio breweries are scheduled to be on hand.

The World of Beer at the South Campus Gateway officially opened this week. The beer-centric bar, located at 1568 N. High St., is the third in Columbus. It features both a patio and a beer garden, and includes a tavern menu of flatbreads, burgers, salads and more.

Moretti's of Arlington announced they've launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a casual Italian restaurant called Palle by Moretti. Their goal is to open Palle in Grandview this autumn; the concept's menu will focus on five varieties of meatballs and five sauces.

Hai Poke, which recently operated as a weekend pop-up at Oddfellows Liquor Bar, launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund a brick-and-mortar home. The pop-up focuses on poke, a Hawaiian salad typically featuring raw ahi tuna.

The new restaurant and live music venue in the Brewery District opens in the coming weeks. The underground music side, Notes, opens Thursday, Sept. 10, while the restaurant, Copious, opens Wednesday, Sept. 16.

With Ohio State's first home football game against Hawaii this Saturday, Sept. 12, Ohio Stadium will add more local vendors and breweries for on-premises sales. Land-Grant Brewing's Stiff-Arm IPA will be sold in cans at the stadium, and Hot Chicken Takeover announced their truck will begin serving at home games.

Following the announcement that Sbarro's is opening in Clintonville at 3645 N. High St., former home to Peet's Coffee, the company announced three more stand-alone locations coming soon to campus (at 1990 N. High St., previously site of J. Gumbo's), Worthington and Dublin.

The new Fresh Thyme Market at 933 High St. in Worthington is scheduled to open Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Chipotle announced they are adding burrito delivery service to the Ohio State campus area starting this fall, joining the roughly 50 colleges and universities that can order burrito delivery through the app Tapingo.

The Ohio Pawpaw Festival celebrates the state fruit of Ohio this weekend, Sept. 11-13, in Albany. Plenty of pawpaw-infused food and drink will be available. Columbus' Actual Brewing and North High Brewing will be serving pawpaw beers.
