Halloween might be a time for dressing up, but a majority of these local performers specialize in emotionally naked songs every bit as unmasked as an overeating trick-or-treater. This is particularly true of Counterfeit Madison, aka Sharon Udoh, who dropped the bruising four-song cassette Palms Were a Bad Choice earlier this year. The musician will be joined here by Mary Lynn, currently putting the finishing touches on a new, more rock-oriented record, banjo-toting troubadour Jordan O'Jordan, whose songs balance humor and heart, and the sonic alchemists in Way Yes, who are in the midst of recording a new album of their own. Admission, as usual with Carabar, is free for all.
