New in theaters:

"Spectre"

Director Sam Mendes ("American Beauty") delivered one of the greatest Bond movies ever with "Skyfall," and he reteams with Daniel Craig in this latest installment. Will it be as good? Fingers crossed. Look for my review later at columbusalive.com.

"The Peanuts Movie"

A 3D computer-animated Peanuts movie seems like a strange fit, but the son and grandson of the late Charles M. Schulz penned the screenplay with the intent of keeping the spirit of the beloved comic strip intact.

Limited screenings:

"Life Itself" with director Steve James

This week, CCAD has been celebrating esteemed documentarian Steve James, culminating with a screening of his excellent and moving Roger Ebert documentary "Life Itself" Thursday, November 5, at 4:30 p.m. An artist's discussion with James will follow at 6:30 p.m.

"Helen Keller vs. Nightwolves"

This Kickstarter-backed soon-to-be cult classic (in the vein of Troma exploitation flicks) will be coming to the Gateway Film Center this weekend with a special surprise. Director Ross Patterson and star Jessie Wiseman will be present for a Friday evening screening with a Q&A to follow.
