Valter's at the Columbus Maennerchor is opening on Tuesday, Jan. 19 serving German-themed breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar and restaurant - located at 976 S. High St. in German Village - is operated by Valter Veliu, operator of the nearby Jimmy V's Grill & Pub.

Eddie George's Grille 27 will relocate from a high-traffic spot on Campus to Grandview Yard, taking the space currently occupied by Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill, which will close on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Rost Coffee announced its first stand-alone coffee shop at 13 W. Second St. in Chillicothe. The coffee roaster also hinted it might open a shop in Columbus later in 2016.

The next Souper Heroes is being held Saturday, Jan. 16 from 4-6 p.m. at The Commissary. For the event, volunteers bring slow cookers of homemade soup for guests to enjoy, while collected donations benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

Hoof Hearted Brewing offers its latest canned release, the Cultrider imperial black IPA, in the brewery's Marengo taproom this Sunday, Jan. 17 from 12-5 p.m.
