The MYCincinnati Ambassador Ensemble is a string sextet of young musicians from the Price Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. For a year, the group (ages 13-16) engaged in weekly critical discussions around race, gender, social justice, power and the artist as an agent for change. Using conversations as creative inspiration, director Eddy Kwon worked with the students to compose a performance work that combines avant-garde chamber music with themes of social justice. A film documenting the program will also be screened.
