Cleveland-based Platform Beer Co. announced it is building a Columbus production facility and brewpub Downtown at 408 N. Sixth St. Production is set to launch this May, with the taproom opening this summer.

The head brewer at Gordon Biersch announced he is opening his own brewery in Pickerington called Combustion Brewery & Taproom. The brewery is slated to open this fall at 80 W. Church St. in downtown Pickerington.

Grove City Brewing Co. is scheduled to open this spring at 3946 Broadway in downtown Grove City. The brewery is partly owned by the folks behind Plum Run Winery in Grove City, and the two businesses will be combined into one space.

101 Beer Kitchen announced a new location in Westerville opening this summer at 817 Polaris Pkwy.

Harvest Pizzeria announced a third location at 45 N. High St. in Dublin.

Izzy & Mo's Luncheonette in Victorian Village has closed, although the owners will continue to operate Till Dynamic Fare for roughly another month. The owners previously announced they would close both restaurants this spring as they prepare to move out of state.

The Clintonville Sandwich Shop pop-up started this past Monday. The weekly pop-up is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Monday inside Dough Mama Cafe & Bakery in Clintonville.

Balboa is coming soon to Grandview in the former Shoku spot at 1312 Grandview Ave. Balboa is Southern California-inspired, with tacos, tequila and other Mexican-themed dishes.

Weiland's Market now allows on-site consumption of beer and wine while you shop. The store offers a selection of four wines and eight beers on draft, and will soon begin hosting monthly cocktail tastings.

The Daily Growler announced it will be opening a third location at 702 S. High St. in German Village. The growler filling shop will also feature a kitchen run by Athens-based Big Mamma's Burritos. The Daily Growler has two locations already, in Upper Arlington and Powell. The new shop is slated to open sometime this fall.
