This presentation, "Asian Americans and Comics," proves a serendipitous coincidence to the MariNaomi (and Noah Van Sciver) reading Tuesday at Kafe Kerouac. Yang, an award-winning cartoonist and newly appointed National Ambassador for Young People's Literature for the Library of Congress, will examine the significant Asian American presence working in the U.S. comic book field. Yang's visit is co-presented by the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum in conjunction with its exhibition "Good Grief!: Children and Comics," for which a reception is planned at 5:30 p.m. preceding Yang's presentation.
