It's that time! June is Pride month here in the Midwest gay mecca of Columbus and over 200,000 people will flood our incredibly diverse and vibrant city to celebrate! We welcome you all and look forward to showing you all we have to offer. Pride can be overwhelming if you are not sure where to go and what to experience. I've made a list of my top five events to make sure you have a full dose of Pride before the hangover hits Monday morning.

The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and Parade

We have one of the Midwest's largest Pride celebrations. Get there early for the parade! Kickoff is at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and you'll want to have a good view of all the floats andfabulousness as the proceedings roll down High Street! The festival itself runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Go see one of our amazing headliners, meet some new people or get my favorite: fried cheese!columbuspride.org

Dragapalooza

The name says it all! A celebration of all things drag! This incredible show is in the parking lot of Axis Nightclub and is always a must see! More than 25 of the city's great drag entertainers will be performing, as well as Naomi Smalls from "RuPaul's Drag Race"! Pride Kickoff Party

An evening of drag and dancing will happen at Axis Nightclub Thursday, June 16. More than 15 performers will be hitting the stage to usher in Pride. Come on out and meet a local - there will be a ton of them there! Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show kicks off at 9 p.m. Hosted by myself and Nina West!axisonhigh.com

Bat-N-Rouge

Come celebrate closing day of Pride at the 31st annual drag queen softball game, brought to you by the Columbus Lesbian and Gay Softball Association.If you've never been, you've never lived! Sunday Brunch

Everyone loves a brunch! Kick off your closing day of Pride with a lovely brunch. Union Cafe opens at 10 a.m., Stonewall Columbus hosts brunch at the Columbus Athenaeum at 11 a.m. and the Chintz Room offers a drag brunch at 10 a.m. (hosted by me!).
