Jacob Taylor is the managing partner at CivitasNow, an experiential marketing firm based here in Columbus, a proud college dropout and a member of the Create Columbus Commission. His team at CivitasNow is also responsible for the resurgence of Rally in the Alley - our parents' generation's greatest urban party. Sturgill Simpson

Sturgill Simpson recently released a new album titled A Sailor's Guide to Earth. Written as a guide to life for his son, Sturgill finds a way to tell stories about stages of his life his son would never know otherwise. It's a very smoky hollow, new-age country sound that is perfect with wine and a cigar.

Sweet Rowynn's Caramels

I have a serious sweet tooth. My friend Kali Waddell makes these really gourmet caramels. My favorite is the Salted Bourbon Barrelhouse. They're addicting. You can find them for sale at Celebrate Local and Firefly Sweet Shoppe. (Or you could probably find a few of them in my front shirt pocket at any moment.)

Cowboy Boots

I just recently purchased a new pair of cowboy boots. I've spent close to a year looking for the right fit/look/feel. Finally, I was at this boot shop in Louisville one weekend for work ... and they were just there. I wear them all the time and with everything. Cowboy boots, a black T-shirt and Imogene and Willie jeans - that's my uniform.

Blind Lady Tavern

Blind Lady Tavern is my new favorite place in Columbus. Great food, awesome cocktails and I can commonly be found smoking a cigar on the patio. My recommendation for a slow night: The Hostile Witness (rye whiskey, benedictine and bitter). Trying to turn it up a notch? Try the Judge and Jury, which consists of any draft beer paired with a whiskey back for $10.

COPA America Tournament

Our firm represents Major League Soccer, so I've became quite entrenched in the league and the international leagues. Everyone should be watching because U.S.A. is making a really great run. It's a great time overall to be a soccer fan in the States.
