New releases for the weekend of June 24
"Independence Day: Resurgence"
A lot of people were excited at the prospect of a sequel to the 1996 summer blockbuster. I'd advise you look at the movies director Roland Emmerich has done since then and temper the hell out of your expectations.
"The Neon Demon"
One of my most anticipated movies of the summer, director Nicolas Winding Refn's latest looks to be both gorgeously shot and divisive. Given his uneven last two films - the excellent "Drive" and the disappointing "Only God Forgives" - we'll see which one we get. (Gateway Film Center)
"I Am Wrath"
Yes, the Columbus-filmed John Travolta vehicle did in fact go straight to video, but the Gateway Film Center is giving it a big-screen run following its recent debut at the Film Festival of Columbus (FFOCOL).

Paul Thomas Anderson retrospective
In honor of the birthday of the man I consider the greatest working American director, the Gateway Film Center is rolling out all of PTA's works on the big screen, and they all deserve it. Check gatewayfilmcenter.org for the schedule.
