The retail bakery side of The Angry Baker's new location, at 249 King Ave. in Victorian Village, is now open and serving pastries, breads and cakes. The cafe portion will open in the coming weeks.

The Chintz Room, located at 121 S. High St. Downtown, closed last weekend. The restaurant had been open for roughly a year and a half.

A Taste of Vietnam held its soft opening this week at 652 High St. in Worthington. The Vietnamese restaurant replaces Rivage.

J. Gumbo's at 31 E. Gay St. Downtown also closed last week.

Firehouse Pints & Pizza opened at 9721 Sawmill Rd. in Powell last week. The restaurant focuses on pizza, craft beer and milkshakes.

Bubbles Tea Company opened a new location at 1111 Polaris Pkwy. on the Chase campus this week.

The Columbus Summer Beerfest takes place at Express Live on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and 6. The seventh annual edition of the festival features beer from over 100 regional and national breweries, food trucks and live music.
