This exhibition, subtitled "Reconstructing human displacement," is closing this week at Otterbein College. The installation was created by Cuban artist Juan Si Gonzalez, with the help of university students, faculty and staff.

A true mixed-media piece, the assemblage uses clothes, coats, shoes and non-perishable food items that will be donated to area refugee service organizations at the completion of the exhibition.

"I'm trying to break down generalized notions of immigration/migration as a foreign experience," Gonzalez wrote in his artist statement.
